Lewis County Junior Wrestling head coach Kenny Lowther has wrestling in his blood. His father Bobby was a wrestler and coach, and was one of the founders of LCJW. Kenny has been wrestling since the age of four. No matter where he goes, the youth of Lewis County and the wrestling community, know Coach Kenny. Kenny prides himself in being there for “his kids” on and off the mat. “Champions Train, Losers Complain”
Coach Andy Taylor is a lifelong Lewis County resident with over 35 years of wrestling experience. Following in the footsteps of his late brother Bobby Jim Taylor, Andy developed a strong love for the sport of wrestling at a young age. Andy is committed to helping the youth of West Virginia wrestling thrive in a positive, safe, and healthy environment. Andy understands the ever growing techniques of wrestling and is committed to keeping proper technique and conditioning a top priority in the Lewis County mat room. Coach Andy will always be in the corner for the youth of Lewis County and those he has helped along the way!
When you think of Lewis County wrestling a few big names come to mind, Ryan Carson is one of them. He has been on the wrestling mat since he was four years old and has made a name for himself in Lewis County sports history. He is in the Lewis County Sports Hall of Fame for his substantial list of accolades. He currently holds the state record for most career wins in high school history, 208 to be exact. He loves being able to teach the youth of this county everything he knows and to watch them grow in the sport that he so adores. He is an amazing coach that is always there for any child that needs coaching, even if they are from a different program. He is truly great with the kids and they love and adore him.
